Voila! Europe FAQs

We can't wait to welcome you back to Voila! Europe Theatre Festival! Whether you're joining us in person at The Cockpit, or tuning in online, this page will answer your questions about coming to see a show.

COMING TO THE COCKPIT

What are the Covid safety measures in place?
The Cockpit has been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre's 'See It Safely' mark. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.

We request that everyone wears a mask when moving around the building, wash their hands often and practice self-distancing. You may be asked to queue outside, so wear weather-relevant clothes and please let us know in advance if you or anyone you know has a mobility or standing difficulty: boxoffice [at] thecockpit [dot] org [dot] uk

Please see our full Covid-19 guidance here.

Is the bar open?
Yes! We will be running a normal bar service, with some of the most affordable beers in all of London.

How do I get to The Cockpit?
We're on Gateforth Street, about a 7-minute walk from either Marylebone or Edgeware Road stations. Full directions for arriving by bus, car, and bicycle can be found on our Your Visit page.
Please allow plenty of time for your journey, to arrive with enough time to check in at the box office, use the facilities, and get a drink at the bar.

What time does the show start?
Performances in the festival have various start times; please check your ticket confirmation email.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
There is level access to the foyer, bar and foyer toilets but after that it gets tricky. There are six steps down from the foyer to the auditorium. Access to the auditorium is possible for wheelchair users via the car park and rear entrance. We are only allowed four wheelchair users on the premises at any one time.

Please contact us on the day if you can to let us know you are coming: 0207 258 2925 or email reception [at] thecockpit [dot] org [dot] uk. It's helpful to arrive early so we can make sure you are comfortable before we let other audience members into the show.

More information about driving and parking is here.

WATCHING SHOWS ONLINE

How do I access online shows at Voila! Europe?
Once you’ve booked a ticket, you’ll receive a confirmation email from The Cockpit box office (mail [at] thecockpit [dot] org [dot] uk) with the subject line “VOILA! - Online Performance Access” which will contain the performance link. If you haven't received that email, please check your spam filter.

If you have trouble accessing a show you’ve booked, please contact boxoffice [at] thecockpit [dot] org [dot] uk and they’ll help you out. (Please note, social media channels for Voila and The Cockpit are not staffed 24/7, so contacting the box office is the quickest way to get your questions answered.)

Do I need to book one ticket per person, or one ticket per device?
Please book one ticket per device, to help us keep an accurate count of how many Zoom spaces we have available in each performance. If you're watching on one computer with others in your household and would like to support the festival, please consider making a donation with your booking.

How do I watch a live online show?
Click the link in your confirmation email to join the Zoom call where the show will be performed. It's a good idea to join the Zoom call at least 10 minutes before the start time, to make sure that you can connect without any problems. We recommend watching the show from a computer for the best viewing experience, as some features are not available on phone or tablet. Please make sure your Zoom app is updated to the latest version.

What is a watch party?
A watch party is a live screening of a pre-recorded show, where you can chat with fellow audience members in real time. The show will be followed by a live discussion with the artists behind the show.

How do I watch a show on demand?
Click on the link in your confirmation email, and log in on The Cockpit's website (with the same email address you used to buy your ticket) to watch the show on demand.
