Set up by a mutual friend, two strangers meet for a blind date at a London restaurant. As awkward introductions turn into genuine conversation, they discover their paths may have crossed long before that evening. A warm, funny two-hander about timing, chemistry, and finding connection when you least expect it.

IN THEIR IMAGE

In Their Image explores the cycle of trauma, what it means to love, and which elements of human nature remain constant even in vastly different worlds. The story follows two intertwined timelines: Sunhee’s youth in North Korea and her present life in London. Young Sunhee, an upper-class high school student, begins a secret romance with Jintae, who introduces her to forbidden ideas. Their growing secrecy ultimately leads to a desperate plan to escape. In the present, Sunhee lives with her 19-year-old son Adam, who she keeps under strict control while recounting memories with "Ghost Jintae"
 

Tickets are £3 with an optional donation at checkout.

New Stuff finishes at approximately 7.45pm, but we welcome all to join us for continued conversations in the bar downstairs. 

Tickets are strictly limited, so booking in advance is highly recommended. Please note that the event takes place in one of our studio spaces, which is only accessible up a spiral staircase.
